Frequently Asked Questions
Signing up is very simple. Carefully read the CLIMB regulations at this link, check the minimum requirements; choose your method of entry: either through the Entry Tour or the entry exam, and fill out the entry form in our Academy using the button below.
Unfortunately, no. Climb Virtual Airlines achieved its greatest milestone at the end of 2019, becoming a certified Virtual Airline by IVAO. With this achievement, our responsibility increases, and for this reason, registrations cannot be confirmed without your IVAO or VATSIM ID.

But do not despair! Simply create your account on IVAO or VATSIM, complete your initial hours on your preferred online simulation network, and come fly with us.

To participate in the selection process for Climb Airlines: You must be at least 16 years of age on the date of registration (if under the required age, entry eligibility will be evaluated). Possess experience in Airbus aircraft – A319/320/321 family (Aerosoft/Wilco) and the Boeing family (PMDG/IFLY/ZIBO), as well as knowledge of METAR and Phraseology. Have at least 100 flight hours on any flight simulation network.
There are two ways to join CLIMB VIRTUAL. The first option is through the Entry Exam at the CLIMB Academy (http://voeclimb.com/academy/), where the pilot will take a theoretical test containing 20 multiple-choice questions covering: Meteorology, Phraseology, Navigation, and Regulations. The candidate will have 40 minutes to complete this exam. A passing score of 75% correct answers is required. In this category, there is no provisional registration and the pilot is promoted directly to First Officer, keeping in mind that the FIRST OFFICER TRAINING COURSE must also be completed at the academy to receive the promotion.

The second method is through the Entry Tour, which exempts the pilot from taking the theoretical exam upon completion. When applying, the pilot will join a subsidiary of CLIMB VIRTUAL, AEROCLIMB, and will receive a provisional registration number (CLA). The process works as follows: 1st, this new member will be hired as a First Officer in Training. The new crew member will be evaluated (via the entry tour) during their first 10 flights. If approved on ALL flights, the pilot will be classified to their respective rank; 2nd, if minimum requirements are met, the candidate must contact the Human Resources Department via the HELP-DESK at (voeclimb.com/helpdesk) under the Human Resources category to report the completion of the Entry Tour; 3rd, after reaching 10 flight hours, the First Officer in Training must complete the FIRST OFFICER TRAINING COURSE at the CLIMB VIRTUAL AIRLINES Academy to be promoted to First Officer.

Unfortunately, no. We do not accept data migration from other VAs (such as hours, ranks, or benefits). Accounts are individual and non-transferable, meaning under no circumstances may a pilot share or "lend" their "account," let alone hold two registrations with our VA. Any such actions are penalized with immediate dismissal from the company. By joining Climb Airlines, you agree that we have the right to use your image to promote the virtual airline, such as displaying your badge on the website or in YouTube videos.
Transferable hours will always be based on your IVAO and VATSIM ratings. Each rating awards a specific amount of hours, as listed below:
IVAO:
  1. FS3 – 25 transferable hours
  2. PP – Private Pilot – 50 transferable hours;
  3. SPP – Senior Private Pilot – 75 transferable hours;
VATSIM:
  1. FS3 – 25 transferable hours
  2. PP – Private Pilot – 50 transferable hours
  3. SPP – Senior Private Pilot – 75 transferable hours.
The official software to record flights performed for the VA is VMS (PHPVMS 7.2). This program records all flight parameters required by the company and also automatically submits and updates the hours flown by the pilot. Under no circumstances will manual flights or manually sent logs be accepted.
Climb Virtual Airlines uses VMS for flight analysis. The software evaluates various flight data, and the company determines which situations are subject to rejection.
Rejection criteria for flight logs include:
  1. Landing rate above -500 ft/min;
  2. VMS configuration error;
  3. Cruising altitude discrepancy on SmartCARS;
  4. Pause (More than 11 seconds);
  5. Speed above 263 kts under 10,000 feet;
  6. Overspeed (More than 21 seconds);
  7. Stall;
  8. Offline flights (only allowed for specific student pilots in training);
  9. Refueling (adding fuel after engine startup);
  10. Slew detected;
  11. Submitting Pirep without engine shutdown;
  12. Landing at an alternate airport different from the flight plan (without justification);
  13. Simulation rate modification;
  14. Using an aircraft different from the one scheduled in the Dispatch.
All flights must be performed online on either the IVAO or VATSIM servers. There is no requirement as to which server you choose; it is entirely at the pilot's discretion. Keep in mind that all crew members must use the RMK OPR/CLV PIC/CLVXXXX (pilot registration) CLVyyy (flight number). It is also mandatory that when flying in another country, the pilot must use the company callsign "CLVXXXX." If crew members fail to comply with any of these rules, the flight may be rejected by the log department, resulting in penalties to the pilot.
