CLIMB GENERAL RULES
I- INITIAL CONSIDERATIONS
CLIMB VIRTUAL AIRLINES is a virtual organization, created in Brazil in January 2018 by a group of civil aviation enthusiasts who decided to join freely and voluntarily with the objective of standardizing procedures applied in a real airline and bringing them to the virtual environment. We are among the largest and most important Virtual Airlines in Brazil, achieving our certification in October 2019 with IVAO (International Virtual Aviation Organisation) and consequently becoming a member of IVAO-BR. Our IATA code is CL and our ICAO is CLV. We are entirely non-profit, and therefore, joining is completely free of charge.
It is strictly forbidden to publish adult, political, or religious content on the communication channels of CLIMB VIRTUAL AIRLINES (Email, Telegram, Whatsapp, and Discord). Actions of this nature will be punished with warnings or dismissal of the pilot from the VA, depending on the severity of the occurrence.
Crew members who use the name of CLIMB VIRTUAL AIRLINES for profit or other means that may damage the image of the VA, such as creating unauthorized groups or profiles on social networks that demonstrate any kind of bond with the VA, will be removed without the right to rejoin the VA.
Any attempt to cause damage, malicious actions, or unauthorized access to exclusive staff areas will be punished with the exclusion of the crew member from the VA without the right to rejoin.
*We reserve the right to refuse registrations randomly.
II- MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR PARTICIPATION
The following are prerequisites for participating in the Climb Airlines selection process: Must be at least 16 years of age on the date of registration (if under the required age, the possibility of admission will be evaluated). Experience with Airbus aircraft – A319/320/321 family (Aerosoft/Wilco) and Boeing family (PMDG/IFLY/ZIBO), METAR, and phraseology. Must have a minimum of 100 flight hours on any simulation network. This requirement will be verified as soon as the pilot starts the tour, making it mandatory to provide the simulation network and the ID/VID.
III- JOINING
Joining CLIMB VIRTUAL is done through the Admission Exam at the CLIMB academy (http://voeclimb.com/academy/), where the pilot will take a theoretical exam consisting of 20 multiple-choice questions covering topics on: Meteorology, Phraseology, Navigation, and Regulations. The candidate will have 40 minutes to complete this exam. A score of 75% correct answers is required to pass. The pilot begins as a co-pilot in training and progresses according to the CLIMB Airlines career path, keeping in mind that the CO-PILOT TRAINING COURSE must also be completed at the academy to obtain the respective promotion.
IMPORTANT: We do not accept data migration from other VAs. The registration is unique and non-transferable.
IV- FLIGHT REPORTING
The official software for logging flights performed for the VA is SMARTCARS. This program records all flight parameters required by the company and also handles the transmission and update of the hours flown by the pilot. Under no circumstances will manually submitted flights/logs be accepted. After the log is sent, your flight will appear as "Pending" and will await evaluation by one of the responsible staff members. It is not necessary to wait for theNormally I can help with things like this, but I dont seem to have access to that content. You can try again or ask me for something else.
V- ALTERATION OF SIMULATION RATE
Accelerating, reducing, or pausing the simulation rate during flights flown for CLIMB is prohibited. Logs with a rate higher or lower than 1x/normal will not be accepted. IMPORTANT: The use of SLEW / PAUSE during flights, or if this feature appears in the flight log at all, will result in the flight being deleted, and the pilot will lose both the flight and the hours flown. We recommend disabling the keys for PAUSE and SLEW actions in your settings.
VI- CRITERIA FOR APPROVAL/REJECTION OF LOGS (PIREPS)
As mentioned above, CLIMB VIRTUAL AIRLINES uses SmartCARS for flight analysis. The software evaluates a series of details, and the company determines which situations are subject to rejection as described below.
Landing rate above -501 ft/min;
SmartCARS configuration error;
Divergence in cruise altitude on SmartCARS;
Pause (Over 11 seconds);
Overspeed (Over 21 seconds);
Exceeding speed limit of 262 Knots below 10,000 ft;
Stall;
Offline Flights (Allowed only for certain pilots in training);
Refuel (Refueling after engine start);
Slew Detected;
Submission of Pirep without engine shutdown;
Landing at an alternate aerodrome different from the scheduled one;
Landing at an alternate aerodrome different from the scheduled one;
Simulation rate alteration;
Using an aircraft different from the one scheduled in the Dispatch.
Furthermore, regarding flight log analysis, CLIMB VIRTUAL AIRLINES has a log rejection criterion based on the tolerance of certain items.
The automatic flight approval system (climbinho) instantly analyzes your log to detect rejection criteria, automatically marking it as Accepted or Pending. The pirep is marked as Pending when climbinho finds a rejection criterion, so it will be reviewed by the FLIGHT OPERATIONS DIRECTOR, since some rejection criteria have a tolerance that is described and reviewed at the evaluator s discretion. Afterwards, it is remarked as either Accepted or Rejected.
VII- CLIMB MONEY / CLIMB TOUR
The virtual salary (CLIMB MONEY) of the pilots will be automatically available for each flight the crew member performs. The credit will be available to the crew member and can be checked on the home page of the D.O.V. in the SALDO CM field; with it, the crew member may request a change of location (jumpseat).
On the other hand, TOUR MONEY is an incentive that rewards the most active members who participate in the company s events and tours. To earn it, simply register for the corresponding event or tour and complete the MANDATORY SCHEDULES. The TOUR MONEY is added manually by the CL-ED - EVENTS DIRECTOR and can be checked on the home page of the D.O.V in the Tour Money field. You can exchange your points for exclusive products in our CLIMB STORE according to product availability, or even donate them for the maintenance of our system.
VIII- MANDATORY SCHEDULES
The MANDATORY SCHEDULES are always generated at the beginning of each month and released to the pilot by the 5th of the current month, and must be completed only during the month in which the schedule was prepared. The crew member may refuse to accept their schedules, but keeping in mind that a new one will not be generated and they will not receive the tour money for the corresponding month. The schedule consists of 10 schedules (legs) that must be completed sequentially, respecting the rejection criteria described below. In it, the pilot can earn TOUR MONEY as described in item VII of these regulations.
IX- Top Pilots (Pilot of the Month)
Climb Virtual Airlines has awards for the top three pilots of the month. This award consists of paying a bonus of five CT$ 3.00 (TOUR MONEY) to the first-place winner, three C$ 2.00 (TOUR MONEY) to the second-place winner, and one C$ 1.00 (TOUR MONEY) to the third-place winner. This amount will be added to your balance on the Home Panel of the Climb website. As mentioned, this amount can be used to purchase products in our CLIMB STORE according to product availability.
X- INACTIVITY
The pilot is required to make 04 flights within a 30-day period. Failure to comply with this item results in the automatic inactivation of the registration. After inactivation, the pilot will have up to 15 days to request the activation of their registration from HR ([email protected]). After this period, the account will be deleted and the pilot will lose their record.
XI- TEMPORARY LEAVE
Any crew member holding the rank of Co-pilot (or higher) may request a temporary leave from the VA, simply by informing the HR management through HELP DESK, which will guarantee a period of 30 days without submitting logs. The pilot is not necessarily required to remain absent for 30 days, leaving it to the crew member s discretion to choose the number of days they will be away. Upon expiration of the temporary leave, the crew member will have until the thirtieth day to request a return to the VA, thus having 30 days to perform the 4 minimum flights per month after the leave period has ended.
XII- ONLINE FLIGHT
All flights must be performed online on the IVAO or VATSIM server. There is no restriction on the choice of server, leaving it to the pilot s discretion. Remembering that all crew members must use the RMK OPR/CLV PIC/CLVXXXX (pilot registration) CLVyyy (Flight number), it is also mandatory that when the pilot flies in another country, it is required to use the company s CALLSIGN "CLVXXXX". If crew members violate any of these imposed rules, the flight may be rejected by the logs department and the pilot will suffer penalties. Crew members flying on networks such as IVAO/VATS.
XIII- DISMISSAL
Failure to comply with any item of these regulations or the rules of the servers may result in temporary or permanent cancellation of the registration of the involved party(ies).
XIV- RETURN TO THE VA
Members dismissed due to inactivity may recover flight logs from previous registrations. After completing a new admission process, the crew member will have to request the reactivation of their data with a staff member, keeping in mind that they will only have 15 days to request the return, counted from the date of inactivation.
